BioSTEM I students have been working hard at having fun while learning new techniques and exploring special investigations. Our investigations included: determining which sample of juice contained the most vitamin C and the reappearing Christmas tree. The new techniques we explored were operating a centrifuge and pouring, sectioning, and streaking a Petri dish. Good things are happening at Clarksburg School!

Students in Ms. Emily Sibley's Criminal Justice classes recently finished a unit on Toxicology and Impaired Driving Laws. On November 27, they hosted Ms. Heather Foster from the Carroll County Prevention Coalition. Ms. Foster provided statistics on the dangers of driving impaired and students got to participate using simulation "drunk goggles" which allows them to wear goggles and what it would be like to try to perform field sobriety tests while under the influence. Innovative teaching techniques and good things are happening at Clarksburg Schools.
