A special thanks to Mrs. Bennett for going the extra mile and applying for USDA funds to support the Clarksburg Coordinated School Health program." We are incredibly grateful to the congregation at Roan's Creek Church of Christ for helping make this holiday brighter for many of our students. Their generosity through a congregational food drive and donation to our school truly embodies the spirit of Thanksgiving. Special thanks to Mr. Tom Yarbro, who delivered the much-needed food items on behalf of the church. In the picture, you'll see Mrs. Tina Watson, Mrs. Erin Foster, and Mrs. Pam Pritchard, who tirelessly monitor and distribute these items to families in need. According to Dr. Lisa Norris, Director of Schools, “Clarksburg School is thankful to Roan's Creek Church of Christ for putting their Christian actions into service for others.” We salute Roan's Creek Church of Christ for their continuous support of the Rocket Food Pantry and for helping us serve our students. From the Clarksburg PTO: (EDITED TIME) The next CPTO meeting is Thursday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the school library. The CPTO is an organization that supports the teachers and students of Clarksburg School. We hold fundraising events and the proceeds go towards many different things including helping teachers buy supplies for their classrooms, giving rewards for honor roll, end of year activities, Dr. Seuss week and much more. Clarksburg School may be a smaller school compared to other schools in the county but it still needs as much support as possible and who better to help than the parents of the students who attend because we care the most about our children’s education and opportunities. We need volunteers to join the CPTO to make the organization stronger than ever before and the more parents that join, the more great ideas and help we’ll receive to help our teachers and students. We hope to see everyone at the meeting!!
