One (1)-stockpiled day is being used for staff
development, which will be September 21, 2009.
Six (6)-stockpiled days will be used, if necessary, for inclement
weather, three (3) during the 1st Semester and three (3) during the
2nd Semester. Any additional
days missed may be added to the end of the school calendar. If necessary, it is possible that September
21, 2009, October 12, 2009, and November 25, 2009 could be used to make up lost
days due to inclement weather during the first semester. If necessary, it is possible that February
15, 2010, May 7, 2010, May 24, 2010 could be used to make up lost days due to
inclement weather during the second semester.

Each teacher is responsible for documenting and reporting five
(5) days of in-service/staff development.
Individual plans/documentation shall be on file with Supervisor of
Instruction no later December 31, 2009.
Information concerning
in-service/staff development days will be provided. Teachers will not be required to attend all
dates listed, unless these will be the only in-service/staff development days
you wish to attend. Required attendance
dates will be announced in advance.
September 21, 2009 does not count towards completion of required
in-service/staff development days. This
day is stockpiled and is in lieu of a required student day. A 200-day teaching contract consists of 180
student days, 10 paid holidays, 5 administrative days, and 5 in-service/staff
development days
