As required by T.C.A. § 49-6-6007, this is a listing of state mandated assessments for the 2018-19school year.

Reading/Language and Math Universal screeners are required by TDOE to determine students

Given to all students to identify those performing at or above grade level and students needing intervention services.

 

Also used in Math for Progress Monitoring.

Teacher administered in grades online test for grades 1-11 Given 4 times annually. The weeks of

August 6,  2018, November 8, 2018,  February 4, 2019 and April 1, 2019.

Every two weeks for students monitored in RTI.

No grades given.  Results will be shared with teachers and parents in order to plan instruction and RTI activities. Parent Reports will also be sent home.
PreK – K STAR

Early Literacy

Reading/Language and Math Universal screeners are required by TDOE to determine students eligible for

April 15-May 3, 2019 Quick scores will be used as a percentage of the students’ final grades.  Individual scores will be sent home with students in the fall of 2019.

The TCAP tests are designed to assess true student understanding and not

just basic

memorization and test-taking skills. TCAP measures student  understanding of our state standards. TCAP EOC

assessments are given to help measure how much a student grows academically in a particular content area.

Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies For students with the most severe cognitive disabilities.  To measure academic achievement with modified academic standards. Multiple choice April 15-May 3, 2019 Test results will be sent home in the fall of 2019.
Grades K-8 WIDA Access (state required for ELL students) Reading, Speaking, Listening, and Writing Evaluates English proficiency of English Language Learners Given by a test administrator (K-1) or online (2-8) Spring, 2019 Results will be shared with parents in the fall of 2019.
Grades PreK-8 Progress monitoring through EasyCBM, and/ or PASS.

Assessment

Reading Determines how students are progressing toward grade level goals with intervention activities. Also to screen for reading difficulties associated with the tendencies of Dyslexia. Given on paper for grades PreK -8 Given approximately every 2 weeks for students being monitored in RTI Tier 2 and Tier 3. Results will be shared with parents through RTI updates and parent reports.
